Just a few months after the presentation of the brand new FD77, Diwo Yachts International is proud to announce the release of a new model to complete Horizon Yacht's range of fast displacement yachts.

The new Horizon DF70, an exceptional achievement at all levels

The first in a series designed by Cor D. Rover, known for its unrivaled volume, innovative features and clever layout, the FD70 is a remarkable achievement in naval design and architecture. Aimed at owners, the FD70 features an elevated flybridge design accommodating both open space and an interior wheelhouse. The FD70 is a four-cabin yacht, featuring a full-beam master cabin with en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, as well as three spacious cabins on the lower deck. Aft, there is accommodation for two crew members and an optional beach club.

Achieving a four-cabin configuration, on-deck helm space while retaining the volume and innovative features that define the FD series, required ingenuity from Cor D. Rover, along with Horizon's naval architecture and R&D teams. The team's biggest challenge was balancing shorter length with style, two hallmarks of the FD series and its spacious interiors.

“Traditional yacht design does not allow for the incorporation of this configuration and features into a yacht under 80ft,” designer Cor D. Rover tells us. “But the Horizon team excels in innovation and we were able to carefully tailor all of the features we wanted. This is another example of Horizon's desire to be innovative and push boundaries."

The launch of the FD70 scheduled for January 2020

The introduction of the new FD70 marks an exciting time for Diwo Yachts International and for Horizon, as it extends the series to a size range highly sought after by customers. The all-new FD70 is currently under construction with the first two hulls destined for the European and American markets respectively. The first hull is set to make its world debut at the Horizon Open House in January 2020 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
